Senior Engineering Manager for Linux SolutionsWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our global team responsible for delivering high-quality Linux solutions, particularly focused on Ubuntu and related technologies. This role combines people leadership, project management, and hands-on technical collaboration to support the successful delivery of Linux-based solutions in partnership with OEMs, ODMs, IHVs, and internal engineering stakeholders.About this role:
  • Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and empower team members to grow professionally and achieve outstanding results.
  • Project Oversight & Execution: Oversee project lifecycles from initiation to post-mortem.
  • Technical Collaboration: Act as a point of contact for technical discussions with OEMs, ODMs, SiPs, and IHVs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Strong background in Linux systems, particularly Ubuntu or Debian.
  • Proven experience in engineering management roles, including team leadership and performance management.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with fluency in English.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience as a tech lead or technical decision-maker.
  • Hands-on development or operations experience with:
  • Ubuntu/Linux (kernel & userspace), deb/snap packaging
  • QEMU/KVM, LXC/LXD, Containers
  • Programming in Python, Go, C, or Bash
