Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Tunnel

We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Underground Structures team. As a key player in the technical delivery of the project, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of geotechnical designs by assistant engineers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designing geotechnical solutions for major infrastructure structures based on Eurocodes and other international standards.
  • Interpreting geotechnical investigation reports and selecting appropriate design parameters.
  • Ground improvement proposal development, soil-structure interaction analysis, modeling, and validation, slope stability analysis, and support system design.
  • Instrumentation and monitoring scheme proposals, sheet piles, soldier pile walls, secant pile walls, and other retaining systems.
  • Communication and coordination with colleagues in the Geo-structures group for seamless delivery of designs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering from a reputable institution.
  • 5-9 years of experience in geotechnical design for major infrastructure projects using Eurocodes or other international standards.
  • Experience working on projects in the Nordic region, preferably in Denmark.
  • Experience with underground structure design and tunnelling would be beneficial.
  • Experience in European projects and international consultants would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in VBA, Python scripting, and automation tools would be an added advantage.
