Stablecoin Payments Initiative

We are building a new 0-1 stablecoin payments initiative focused on APAC. This project has clear product market fit in payments and cross-border use cases. Global banks, fintechs like Stripe, and crypto-native players are investing heavily in this space.

The Role

  • You will own engineering for the entire stablecoin initiative — spanning both the application and infrastructure layers.
  • You'll lead a small engineering team while staying hands-on building backend systems that scale securely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead backend development of web and mobile applications
  • Design and scale backend systems powering payments and settlements
  • Build solid, reliable infra on top of fragmented provider APIs across markets
  • Mentor and manage a small engineering team across infra + app layers
  • Ensure security, scalability, and regulatory readiness in architecture

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of backend engineering experience
  • Strong in TypeScript/Node.js, and API design
  • Background in fintech or payments strongly preferred
  • Experience building integrations with external APIs/partners across geographies
  • Track record of leading small teams and scaling early-stage systems

What You'll Own

As a seasoned engineer, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision of the stablecoin initiative from inception to delivery. You will oversee the development of scalable and secure backend systems, working closely with your team to ensure seamless integration and efficient workflows.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain robust backend systems for web and mobile applications
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features and improvements
  3. Drive innovation through experimentation and proof-of-concepts
  4. Mentor junior engineers to foster growth and knowledge sharing
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in backend engineering

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years of experience in backend engineering, with a focus on distributed systems and microservices
  • Expertise in TypeScript/Node.js and API design, with a strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment, with a passion for innovation and experimentation
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing and mentoring teams
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
