About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Expert for Oracle Exadata to join our team at Ventois Software Solutions Private Limited. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Exadata infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Exadata and a strong understanding of its features, including snapshots. You will also be expected to perform health checks, apply patches on Exadata, and monitor logs and alerts using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).

In addition to these responsibilities, you will be required to tune I/O performance using cellcli, dcli, and DBRM (Database Resource Manager), implement RMAN backup strategies, manage Snapshots for backup and cloning, and maintain Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) for load balancing and redundancy.

You will also be responsible for monitoring ASM (Automatic Storage Management) to ensure efficient disk allocation, performing rolling patches and updates to minimize downtime, configuring Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery, and supporting Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication.

Other key responsibilities include performing Data Pump (expdp/impdp) migrations for environment refreshes, enforcing Exadata security best practices, investigating performance bottlenecks using AWR (Automatic Workload Repository), ASH (Active Session History), and Exadata Metrics, analyzing Exadata alert logs to detect and resolve hardware or database issues, and opening and managing Oracle SR (Service Requests) for critical incidents.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Extensive experience working with Exadata and Oracle Database
  • Strong understanding of Exadata features, including snapshots
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other related tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues
