Job Description (Job Summary/Roles & Responsibilities):

We are looking for an Oracle Database Security (AVDF - Audit Vault & Database Firewall) specialist for implementation of AVDF on all Oracle databases and support administration activities and integrations with sub-systems in the financial space with 8 to 15 years of experience in similar role/capacity. Securing systems with regular vulnerability patching and upkeep of Oracle systems. His/her function is critical to the performance, security and stability of IT infrastructure hosting business critical applications and services on a 24/7/365 basis.

Oracle Database security specialist:

• Knowledge of DB Security viz. AVDF, DB Vault, Oracle Key Vault, e-Wallet, and TDE is needed.
• Lead the implementation and configuration of AVDF on all financial databases.
• Design and architect the AVDF solution for various database for different kind of associate application like EBS, Webcenter, ORMB, DWH etc.
• Knowledge of DB security implementation in OCI, Azure and AWS.
• Knowledge of migration of database security solution from On-Premises to cloud like OCI, Azure & AWS.
• Expert knowledge of Oracle Database, Goldengate, Exadata, Oracle RAC, Oracle ASM, Data Guard, Backup & Recovery etc.
• Strong DBA skill.
• Experience in Oracle enterprise manager (OEM) is a plus.
• Handle day-to-day operational tasks within OCI, including but not limited to:
• Backup and recovery strategies.
• Database security, including encryption, access control, and auditing.
• Monitoring and performance tuning of EBS and databases.
• Patching, cloning, and applying updates to the EBS and Oracle Database environments.
• Develop and maintain scripts or automation tools for routine maintenance, backups, and other administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support patching, disaster recovery planning, and other critical business processes.
• Ensure all systems adhere to OCI best practices for security and compliance, including implementing appropriate auditing and monitoring solutions.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure concepts on Linux/Unix and Wintel operating system.
• Good knowledge on Network architecture.
• Sound understanding on Load balancers, VIP, DNS and Certificate renewals.

Security and Compliance:

• Auditing of all databases.
• Remediation of all audit observations from internal & external auditors.
• Vulnerability monitoring and remediation from MMC standard tools like QVM, ATOM etc.
• Track Security Certificate expirations and renew certificates.
• Track and remediate Security Vulnerabilities, apply Critical Security Patch updates.
• Quarterly Password Changes to adhere to SOX policies.
• Generation of SOX Audit reports having all details of changes implemented on Prod Environments and sharing with Application Owners for required approvals.
• Work with D&T external Audit team and provide required changes evidence for Audit related Queries.

Support and Maintenance of Oracle Databases:

• Daily support and management of Oracle DBA support activities.
• Monitoring and Trouble-shooting issues related to Database Servers and services.
• Troubleshooting issues related to performance, patching, backup, recovery, cloning.
• Monitoring all databases using MMC standard observability tools like OEM, Data guard.
• Pro-actively work with Prod Support Team, Project Teams to provide planning and ongoing support for Application Life cycle management.
• Incident Management & Technical Assistance including Production and Performance diagnostics, technology assessments and troubleshooting day-to-day issues.
• Liaise with Performance Testing Team to identify any performance related issues during UAT phase.
• Weekend Bounce, Maintenance and on-call Support for Production changes.
• Perform Annual DR Tests.
• End Processing Hyper Care Support- tracking and reporting in doubt sessions, monitoring processing queues for long running requests, memory and space utilization.

Database Cloning/Refreshes:

• Cloning Oracle databases from Prod to Non-Prod Environment.
• Setting up Multi Node to Multi Node, Multi Node to Single node and adding additional DB nodes if required.
• Weekly/Adhoc Copy Prod and Break Fix environment refreshes from Production.

Code Migrations:

• Code Migrations from Development to QA, UAT and Production Instances.
• Coordinate and work with Release/Change Management teams for deployments, Outages and code migrations across Prod and Non-Prod Environments.
• Release Non-Disruptive, Disruptive Migrations across Non-Prod and Prod Environments.
• Form Compilations, deployment of customized reports and JSP Compilations.

Performance Tuning:

• Tuning Database parameters.
• Analysing AWR reports.
• Gather Schema Statistics.
• DB performance tuning.

Integration Support:

• Support for Oracle WebLogic for any integrations with Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Support for OAM /OID integration with EBS for SSO.
• Support for External EBS iSupplier Multifactor Authentication.
• Support for Oracle Webcenter Integration - MMC EBS AP Imaging Solution.
• Support for OIM integration for Quarterly certification and Identity Governance.
• Support for SMTP/IMAP for Email/File transfer - GlobalScape.
• Support for PGP Encryption for Workday File transfer and Bank interfaces. MISC Support.
• Liaise with MGTI UNIX Server Ops for Monthly/Quarterly Patching Cycle Updates and Administration tasks on Solaris and Linux Servers.
• Liaise with MGTI Windows Server Ops for Monthly/Quarterly Patching Cycle Update and Administration tasks on Windows Servers.
• Liaise with MGTI Storage Team on Space requests, File system Backups and Year-End Special Backups.
• Liaise with MGTI Network Team on Firewall Port Opening Requests, Load Balancers, And Virtual Ips.
• Liaise with MGTI DCops for Monitoring and alert suppression.
• Coordinate and work with multiple MGTI Teams for Annual DR Tests.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in database security implementation on Oracle databases.
• In-depth knowledge of DB Security viz. AVDF, DB Vault, Oracle Key Vault, e-Wallet, and TDE is needed.
• Expertise in managing and administering Oracle databases in a cloud environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with backup, recovery, patching, and cloning of Oracle databases.
• Candidate should have hands-on experience in supporting DB security implementations on on-premises as well as on public cloud like OCI, AWS, Azure.
• Familiarity with Oracle database security, auditing, and monitoring practices.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or OCI-specific automation capabilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Full Understanding of the Oracle DB architecture and processes with their individual configuration files & log files to trouble shoot issues with each component.
• Hands on experience in Maintenance and Configuration of Oracle Database environment.
• Troubleshooting, Monitoring, Performance tuning of Database Servers and services.
• Expertise in DB Cloning and troubleshooting post clone issues.
• Configure PGP Encryption, SSH Keys exchange for File transfers and Bank interfaces.
• Performing Oracle Application Pre-patch analysis (Using Patch Wizard in Oracle Applications Manager), Pre-config Analysis for Quarterly PSU and other required patches.
• Applying Oracle patches (PSU, One-off, Mini Pack, Family Pack.
• Tuning of databases and monitoring of the DB performance.
• Involve in automation of jobs through Shell scripts and schedule them using Crontab and Autosys to run at regular intervals.

Desired Skills:

• Database security certification in AVDF.
• OCI certification (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Operations).
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments or other cloud providers.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for Oracle workloads.
• Candidates must be flexible in terms of working hours due to the nature of the role.
• Candidate is expected to work in 24X7 shifts (on a rotational basis).
• Weekends work duty is required whenever requests arise.
• Proven ability to deliver on aggressive targets.
