Automation Selenium Framework Developer Role Summary

 

Job Description:

The ideal candidate for this Automation Selenium Framework Developer role will possess extensive experience in building, maintaining, and enhancing automated testing frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and related technologies.

 

Key responsibilities of the Automation Selenium Framework Developer will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust Selenium automation frameworks for web applications. The successful candidate will create and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java or Python, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Git, and develop data-driven, hybrid, or BDD frameworks using TestNG, Cucumber, or JUnit.

 

Additional responsibilities of the Automation Selenium Framework Developer will include performing cross-browser testing and ensuring compatibility across different environments. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams for requirements gathering, defect identification, and problem resolution, analyze and debug test failures, generate detailed reports, and maintain test documentation. Leadership skills to improve test automation processes and best practices are also essential for this role.

 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver.
  • Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing automation frameworks (BDD, data-driven, hybrid).
  • Experience with API automation testing tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Git.
  • Proficient with test management and reporting tools like TestNG, Allure, or Extent Reports.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
