We are seeking a highly skilled Middleware Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing complex middleware systems.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of RabbitMQ and Kafka ecosystems, as well as experience with monitoring tools and middleware performance metrics.
Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills are essential for this role. You will work closely with development, DevOps, and data engineering teams to align middleware integration with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy RabbitMQ and Kafka clusters across on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
- Monitor platform health using Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka Manager, and RabbitMQ Management UI.
- Implement access control, authentication, encryption, and RBAC/ACL policies.
- Optimize throughput, latency, and resource usage through fine-tuning broker and pipeline configurations.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (Shell, Python), IaC tools like Ansible or Terraform, and integrate platforms with CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and maintain backup, restore, and failover strategies to achieve high availability across datacenters or cloud zones.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure middleware integration meets business requirements.
Must Have Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in administering Kafka (Apache, Confluent, MSK) and RabbitMQ in production environments.
- Proven track record in monitoring, optimization, and incident resolution.
- Deep understanding of RabbitMQ and Kafka ecosystems: brokers, connectors, zookeeper/KRaft, schema registry.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools and middleware performance metrics.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation abilities.
Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or technical degree.
