Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Costing Specialist to join our team at Mangalore Minerals Pvt Ltd. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your expertise in actual and standard costing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial processes.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and computing actual and standard costing, analyzing variances between the two, and compiling product-related costing and reporting. Key tasks include:

  • Preparing monthly journal entries manually or electronically
  • Reviewing JEs for anomalies and inconsistencies
  • Generating monthly and quarterly accounting reports for management
  • Conducting inventory reserve analysis and generating reports for senior management

In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist the Staff Accountant in suggesting changes to policies or procedures to improve cash flow and review depreciation, labor, and overhead rates to recommend policy improvements. You will also classify costs accurately, generate PPV reports, establish standard costs, and maintain and review the general ledger.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in software programs, including electronic journal entry creation

A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation Package
