Job Title:
Non-CRF Specialist

The role of a Non-CRF Specialist involves leading the collection of non-CRF data during study set-up, conduct and close-out activities for multiple studies. This position is responsible for overseeing the work of other Clinical Data Associates (CDAs) and ensuring the quality of their work.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining awareness of pertinent contract and scope of work elements for assigned projects and communicating status updates to project managers as necessary.
  • Reviewing and adhering to requirements of study-specific DMPs and updating as required.
  • Creating and entering test data for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Performing UAT for data entry screens, edits and data review listings, all different roles used in the study and Targeted Source Data Verification (SDV) configuration and matrices.
  • Receiving and entering lab normal ranges.
  • Completing and submitting Clinical Database Management System (CDMS)-specific access forms and/or spreadsheets.
  • Performing reviews of discrepancy (edit check) output and validation listings based on data entered into the clinical database.
  • Resolving answered queries and re-queries where appropriate.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or related disciplines in natural science/health care field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Clinical Data Management.
  • Experience with external vendor data setup and non-CRF setup activities.
  • Knowledge of clinical data, ICH/Good Clinical Practices, and medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, MS Word, Excel, and email applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, both written and spoken.
