The site reliability engineer will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical systems. Working closely with development and operations teams, you'll build and maintain infrastructure, improve system reliability, and automate processes for efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement monitoring tools and dashboards for system health, performance, and capacity planning.
- Develop automation for repetitive tasks, including deployments, scaling, and maintenance.
- Respond to incidents, lead post-incident analysis, and drive efforts to prevent recurrences through root cause analysis.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in infrastructure, databases, applications, and networking.
- Collaborate on designing systems highly scalable, fault-tolerant, optimized for performance and cost.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and improve delivery cycles.
- Develop disaster recovery plans ensuring systems are resilient and capable of fast recovery.
- Monitor and forecast resource utilization, implementing cost-effective scaling strategies.
- Ensure all systems meet or exceed security and compliance requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-6 years experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python, NodeJS, Bash).
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms.
- Infrastructure as Code expertise with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for close collaboration with the software engineering team.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog.
- CI/CD experience with Jenkins, CodePipeline, GitLab CI, CircleCI.
- Version Control expertise with Git and best practices.
- Containerization and Orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Analyze complex systems, diagnose issues, drive improvements.
