Job Title: Java L2 Support

As a highly skilled and self-motivated engineer, you will join our offshore team in Hyderabad to provide Level 2 application support, participate in development and maintenance activities, and collaborate with both offshore and onshore teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide Level 2 support for core services during rotating 24x5 shifts.
  2. Handle support requests independently; escalate to onshore L3 team only when necessary.
  3. Track and document all issues, including resolution steps and follow-ups.
  4. Lead weekly Wednesday morning on-call reviews, ensuring proper hand-offs and follow-ups.
  5. Handoff unresolved issues to the next shift at end of day.
  • Development:
  1. Collaborate with onshore developers for development-related tasks.
  2. Participate in scrum meetings and project discussions during US overlap hours.
  3. Take ownership of assigned development tasks and ensure seamless cross-shift communication.
  • Maintenance:
  1. Execute LCM (Lifecycle Management) and maintenance tasks as required.
  2. Coordinate and communicate effectively with onshore points of contact.

  2. Relational Databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  3. GitHub (version control and collaboration)
  • Secondary/Preferred Skills:
  1. Python, JavaScript
  2. Kafka, MongoDB
  3. Snowflake (optional)
Soft Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Proactive issue resolution and collaborative approach
  • Organized with attention to detail
