Software Tester Role OverviewBroad guidance is provided to execute and verify software application tests.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyzing business and functional requirements for completeness, deriving valid test cases.
  • Ensuring that all information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements.
  • Defining master test plans to document overall testing strategy for a project.
  • Executing test scripts to test software, documenting validation of test scenarios, defects, and resolution.
  • Analyzing test results; reviewing test plans and supporting execution documentation as required.
  • Providing risk assessment throughout test cycles and creating lessons learned summaries upon completion of projects.
  • Reading, analyzing, and interpreting project requirement and technical design documents.
  • Writing test plans for application functionality and software systems using a prescribed style and format.
  • Effectively presenting information in both written and verbal form to management, customers, or other technical personnel.
Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of related experience in quality assurance and testing.
