About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team. As a key member of our documentation group, you will be responsible for developing high-quality instructional content and managing projects across various systems.

As a Technical Writer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their needs in developing and maintaining documentation that meets established quality metrics.

You will maintain a comprehensive library of documentation and catalog it for internal and external use.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical documentation for customers, staff, managers, executives, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Restructure information to improve problem-solving approaches or tasks.
  • Break down complex information into accessible concepts suitable for different audiences.
  • Represent information in visual/graphical forms to augment textual descriptions.
  • Maintain fluency in common Microsoft Office software, particularly Word.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be self-sufficient in completing projects.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of English language grammar, spelling, and usage.
  • Engage in interviewing and questioning to gather pertinent content from individuals and groups.
  • Negotiate documentation priorities and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in documenting instructions for software/development/related processes.
  • Effective project management skills, including organizing multiple documentation projects.
  • Proficiency in using graphics/illustration software.
