Our company is seeking an exceptional leader to join our security team as a Security Engineering Manager.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills. As a Security Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in developing and implementing cutting-edge security features for our Linux distribution.

You will work closely with our engineering teams to identify and address emerging security threats, develop robust security measures, and ensure the continued integrity of our products. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the direction of our security efforts and driving innovation in the field.

In this role, you will also be responsible for mentoring and developing the skills of your team members, identifying and measuring key performance indicators, and implementing disciplined engineering processes. You will represent our team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers, and develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in developing and implementing security features

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • A proven track record of success in a leadership role, preferably in a security-related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong understanding of Linux kernel development and security modules
  • Experience working with agile development methodologies
  • A demonstrated drive for continual learning and professional growth
