Permitting Manager Job Description

The Permitting Manager plays a pivotal role in spearheading the permitting process for our organization. This senior-level position demands expertise in navigating complex federal, state, and local regulations to ensure seamless project execution.

This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive permitting strategies that align with our business objectives. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and clients to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive permitting strategy that meets our business needs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including FCC, state public utility commissions, and local zoning ordinances.
  • Permit Acquisition: Lead the identification, preparation, submission, and acquisition of necessary permits from local, state, and federal authorities.
  • Project Management: Oversee the entire permitting lifecycle, ensuring all project requirements are met on time and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, municipalities, utilities, and other stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential permitting challenges, assess their impact on project timelines, and develop proactive solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in permitting and project management, with at least 3-5 years of experience directly in the US mainland telecommunications market.
  • Proven track record of successfully obtaining permits for complex projects in US telecommunications.
  • Extensive experience working with regulatory bodies such as FCC, state public utility commissions, and local municipalities.
