Senior IT Architecture Specialist

As a Senior IT Architecture Specialist at SAP, you will play a key role in delivering and running the tools and technologies to make our organization and SAP partners successful.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing hands-on tasks and executing technical engineering exercises in a complex business environment.
  • Leading software design, development, and refactoring across multiple scrum teams in an agile delivery environment.
  • Ensuring the solution meets functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Defining the solution roadmap and taking accountability for key system design decisions.

You will work closely with our team to:

  • Develop infrastructure knowledge on public cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Apply strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge to adapt and learn quickly in a changing environment.
  • Write web applications using Java-based technology stacks.
  • Experience with one or more common UI frameworks like React, Vue.js, Angular, FIORI/UI5, and related web technologies.
  • Experience with cloud and microservices architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of product security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in development tools and practices such as Git workflows, Test Automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with agile project delivery (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Ability to work in an international, virtual team, and hybrid office/remote working environment.
  • Ability to guide and support other team members, providing technical guidance and assistance.
  • Experience with SAP BTP, SAP CRM/ERP, and ABAP.
  • Experience with performance profiling and tuning.
