Electrical Design Lead

We are seeking a seasoned electrical design lead to spearhead the development of innovative electrical systems for our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical distribution systems that meet or exceed client requirements.

  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Design and develop electrical systems and equipment that provide a safe and efficient environment for our clients.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Develop and implement design criteria for protective device coordination, relay selection, medium voltage transformers, switchgear, medium and low voltage distribution.
    • Perform independent design calculations for electrical equipment like transformers, DG sets, cables (HV & LV), lighting, grounding, AC/DC UPS, NGR and capacitor sizing.
    • Lead the development of electrical master plans for facilities encompassing reliable power distribution, motor control centers, energy efficient lighting systems, communications and telecom routing, instrumentation and controls for HVAC systems, fire-alarm interface, building level uninterrupted power systems (UPS) systems, engine generators.
    • Review and approve electrical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated.
    • Provide electrical design direction and resource management on multi-discipline projects.
    • Participate in the identification, recruiting, and management of resources to meet the business needs.

Qualifications:

We require a highly skilled and experienced electrical design lead who possesses the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute.
  • At least 8 years of experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems.
  • A working knowledge of control systems and fundamental communication interfaces.
  • Demonstrated abilities as a project discipline lead.
  • Aviation & Fueling facility experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of critical facility design and infrastructure.
  • Sound understanding of NFPA 70 (NEC), 70E, 75, 101, 780 and other applicable sections and standards like IEEE and IEC.

Skills and Software:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and software proficiency:

  • AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), and Strong computer skills necessary to accomplish electrical designs.
  • Possess knowledge of all applicable standards and codes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Software Skills: SPELL, ETAP / SKM and Dialux / Visual.
