Product Engineering Leader

We are seeking a skilled Product Engineering Manager to spearhead the development of innovative product lines. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will collaborate with senior leaders, product managers, developers, quality analysts, and infrastructure specialists to establish a robust product engineering process.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, taking charge of end-to-end product engineering requirements for multiple product lines. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with strategy, product, and business teams to create a product roadmap and drive execution.
  • Serving as a thought leader and mentor on architecture, design, and technical aspects of products.
  • Identifying and deploying the right tools, frameworks, techniques, and processes to help product engineers work more efficiently.
  • Responsible for product development, testing, deployment, and maintenance within agreed time frames.
  • Owning all non-functional requirements for products.
  • Contributing to the selection and hiring of product engineering team members.

Desired Skill Set:

  • Experience in PDCs (Product Development Companies) is highly desirable.
  • Well-versed in Agile software development and management methods, including user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.
  • Adept at using off-the-shelf software components rather than building everything from scratch.
  • Value progress over perfection and have a track record of shipping value to customers.
  • Hands-on experience with Typescript.
  • Worked with JavaScript-based front-end frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte, and back-end technologies like Node.js.
  • Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and experience building and deploying RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints.
  • Built and shipped features for high-traffic web applications and mobile applications.
  • Good understanding of RDBMS (preferably MySQL) and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with observability tools to identify and isolate problems.

Qualifications & Experience:

BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree with 12-20 years of relevant experience.
