BMS Hardware Architect Role

As a BMS Hardware Architect, you will be responsible for designing and architecting cutting-edge BMS HW systems for BESS domains. You will need to have in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art designing, layout, compliance, EMI-EMC aspects, as well as deliver high-quality modules/systems on-time with customer-facing solutions to complex use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect BMS HW systems for BESS domains using power electronics concepts
  • Develop and implement effective design and layout strategies that meet compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide day-to-day solutions and support
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to EMI-EMC and ensure optimal system performance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 12-14 years of experience in BMS development and power electronics concepts
  • Hands-on experience in architecting power electronics, digital circuit design, analog circuit design, ADC, DACs, OP Amps, micro-processors, micro-controllers & DSPs
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for Li-ion batteries (UL9540/UL1973/IEC62619/IEC 60730)
  • Understanding of PCB layout constraints, Analog Front End circuit design, simulation tools (P-Spice, Matlab, Mathcad) and FMEA/Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience with various sensing technologies, hardware peripherals, communication ckt design, Power Supply Design and MOSFET driving
  • Familiarity with safety-critical features (charge control, thermal control, fault detection, diagnostics)
