The Role of a Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Our organization seeks an experienced and skilled software quality assurance engineer. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of quality assurance practices and hands-on experience in testing complex software applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases based on project requirements.
  • Ensure thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements to guarantee high-quality software delivery.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation for all test processes and outcomes.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to identify defects early in the development process.
  • Accurately log test results and report bugs or issues with precision to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Utilize tools such as JIRA or similar to track software defects, reproduce, prioritize, and resolve issues collaboratively with development teams.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure complete test coverage.
  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
  • Support ongoing improvement of the test automation framework and tools to enhance the overall software quality.
  • Adhere to QA standards and best practices to guarantee consistent quality.
  • Contribute ideas for improving testing efficiency and product quality through innovation and collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Around 3 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices to drive quality excellence.
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
  • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies to support iterative development.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid team environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of Java or similar programming languages to leverage expertise.
  • Experience with Blue-Polaris or enterprise-grade applications to provide context.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) to manage codebase.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc. to automate workflows.
