BIM Coordinator Job

As a BIM coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation of building information modeling (BIM) on construction projects. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the use of BIM software, collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver high-quality projects.

Job Description
  • Review 3D models from consultants and contractors
  • Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage
  • Manage views to issues, automated grouped clashes, BIM track settings for Navisworks
Key Responsibilities

The role involves working in a fast-paced construction environment driving exceptional quality and service on major projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Interactive clash pinpoint display in Navisworks models with sectioning filter to better visualize your clash locations
  • Clash status synchronization, Navis works clash and Viewpoint management
  • Publish a model to viewer from Navisworks, clashes to issues: Publish issues with different properties/attributes from the clash detective and publish issues as multiple batches
  • Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit, early design review and constructability analysis, manage/update BIM project documents
  • 3D model quantity extraction/verification, 4D scheduling/simulation using Autodesk Navisworks
  • Hold weekly coordination meetings with project team members
Requirements
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, hardworking individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels
  • Experience in BIM track issues creation, experience in Navis works viewpoint creation, expert in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks & AutoCAD, BIM360, BIM Track
  • Good knowledge in integrated features of BIM track for Navisworks, knowledge of basic construction processes and procedures especially mechanical and plumbing
  • Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint), completed bachelor's in engineering with 3+ work experience
  • BIM knowledge and interest in working with construction technology
