Quantity Surveyor - Project Cost Management

About the Role:

This position requires a seasoned Quantity Surveyor with 5+ years of experience in QS and Civil, to oversee the cost management aspects of specialized systems within construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of project scope in-line with design requirements
  • Validate technical specifications received from the design team
  • Optimize specifications without deviating from client requirements
  • Verify bill of quantities (BOQs) and supporting documentation
  • Present BOQs and solutions to management for approval
  • Review and check request for payment (RA) bills and final invoices
  • Develop amendments as required
  • Analyze budget costs based on benchmark cost matrices
  • Submit alternative budget options considering different design solutions
  • Research new products and obtain necessary approvals
  • Suggest optimization options for budgets
  • Ensure timely completion of budget requirements without delays
  • Prepare detailed reports on cost analysis of projects as per management's requirements
