About this role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join our team for a 6-month internship. As an intern, you will work alongside our experienced engineers to develop cutting-edge mechanical systems.

  • This role involves hands-on tasks such as fabrication, assembly, and testing of mechanical parts and systems.
  • You will be responsible for assisting in the assembly and fabrication of mechanical parts and systems, following technical drawings and instructions for precise builds.
  • Additionally, you will support in troubleshooting mechanical issues during prototyping, handle tools and workshop equipment safely and efficiently, and work with vendors for fabrication and component procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to prototype development and quality checks.
  • Support in 3D CAD work and documentation where needed.
  • Procure local components necessary for mechanical assembly and prototyping.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure accurate fabrication of designs.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Eagerness to engage in hands-on tasks—fabrication, assembly, and testing.
  • Understanding of mechanical components and how things fit together.
  • Ability to follow instructions and stay detail-oriented during builds.
  • Clear communication skills, especially when coordinating with vendors and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with fabrication tools.
  • Exposure to workshop practices.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative in solving practical problems.
  • Familiarity with mechanical drawings and interpreting them during assembly.
