Job Description: Automation Design Engineer

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and communication engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on designing systems for industrial or automotive applications.
  • Proven experience in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi) and HMI development.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in construction equipment or heavy machinery automation is highly desirable. Experience in Autocad & Creo will be added advantage.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram).
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including their design and integration with automation systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, CAN).
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems, industrial IoT, and emerging automation technologies (e.g., AI, machine vision, digital twins) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics and control system design.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on seamless interaction with structural engineers and other teams.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, field-based environments during initial support phases.
