Job Title: Senior Expert in ABAP Development

In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects involving the development and maintenance of custom ABAP programs, enhancements, and reports in S/4HANA. As a senior expert, you will be responsible for ensuring that all code is written in accordance with Clean Core principles, minimizing custom code in the core system to facilitate smoother upgrades and lower total cost of ownership (TCO). You will also be expected to implement ABAP on Cloud (Steampunk/Developer Extensibility) where applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain custom ABAP programs, enhancements, and reports in S/4HANA.
  • Ensure adherence to Clean Core principles to minimize custom code in the core system.
  • Implement ABAP on Cloud (Steampunk/Developer Extensibility) where applicable.
  • Leverage Key User Extensibility tools (In-App Extensions) to create custom fields, logic, and UIs without modifying the core.
  • Utilize Custom Fields and Logic (CFL), Custom Business Objects, and other extensibility options within S/4HANA.

Requirements:

  • ABAP Development Experience: Proven experience in developing and maintaining custom ABAP programs, enhancements, and reports in S/4HANA.
  • Clean Core Principles: Strong understanding of Clean Core principles and ability to apply them to ensure minimal custom code in the core system.
  • Extensibility Options: Familiarity with extensibility options such as In-App Extensions, Custom Fields and Logic (CFL), Custom Business Objects, and others.
  • Cloud Implementation: Ability to implement ABAP on Cloud (Steampunk/Developer Extensibility) where applicable.
