Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to design, develop, test, and deploy efficient ABAP solutions that meet evolving business requirements.

This individual will work closely with functional consultants, business users, and other technical teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of SAP applications.

  • Design and implement custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).
  • Proficiently use core ABAP development tools including ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, Function Modules, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancements.
  • Develop and modify Web Dynpro ABAP applications.
  • Work with Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) for developing reusable and scalable solutions.
  • Develop and consume OData services for integration with Fiori and other external systems.
Responsibilities

- Analyze and optimize the performance of existing ABAP programs and transactions.

- Debug complex issues, identify root causes, and provide effective resolutions in a timely manner.

- Perform performance tuning and ensure adherence to best practices in ABAP development.

Requirements

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

A minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development is necessary.

Strong proficiency in RICEF objects, ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, Classical & Interactive Reports, ALV reports, and Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) is required.

Extensive experience with BDCs, LSMW, and other data migration techniques is beneficial.

Good understanding of SAP functional modules to enable effective integration is also necessary.
