Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of innovative software solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. As a Software Development Manager, you will oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of multiple products on web and mobile platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive technology and product innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development
  • Be a technical subject matter expert and represent the full internal and external capabilities of the platform
  • Lead complex architectural discussions that involve multiple systems
  • Identify product/functionality gaps and collaborate with internal teams to define necessary development for solution delivery
  • Drive integration efforts and lead critical work streams of strategic initiatives sponsored by senior executives
  • Drive engineering excellence through continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Proactively respond to integration or technical issues
  • Actively communicate with stakeholders and set priorities for work

What We Are Looking For:

  • Expertise in object-oriented programming, software design patterns, automated testing, and deployment
  • Extensive experience in developing backend applications using Java/J2EE and related frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, and RESTful web services
  • Exposure to cloud computing is an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • 14+ years of experience in building successful production software systems
  • Ability to collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to implement user-friendly features and interfaces
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to established standards
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest development trends, tools, and technologies and recommend best practices to enhance team productivity and product quality
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance, support, and knowledge sharing to foster their professional growth and development
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of curiosity, passion for technology, pride of ownership, and strive for excellence
