Operations Manager

The role of an Operations Manager involves leading shifts at one of our operational sites and serving as the key link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration teams. In this position, you will be close to the day-to-day operations at your site while also contributing to new ways to innovate.

  • Manage a team of Team Leads and Performance Associates
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, deal with issues, and positively impact site performance
  • Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve operational excellence
  • Work closely with other support teams, including Human Resources, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Design and deliver initiatives across the sites to improve operational performance

A typical day for an Operations Manager will involve meetings with different areas of the business, deep diving into performance and risk metrics for sites, and looking ahead to prepare for different levels of demand. Every day will also involve mentoring and coaching your team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles.

About the Team

Our team is responsible for managing the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. We strive to provide extra level of customer care, focusing on safety, productivity, and innovation to change the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.

We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist centres and delivery stations across India. While some members of our team work night shifts, most work during the day. Our team is comprised of individuals from operations, supply chain, business intelligence, and program management, all working together to grow this part of the business.

Basic Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • 2+ years of experience in employee and performance management
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Preferred Qualifications

It would be beneficial if you have:

  • 1+ years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
