Account Executive Job Description

This role is responsible for managing financial statements and tax returns for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs). The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the SIS Act and the Australian Income Tax Act.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Management: Prepare and audit financial statements in accordance with the SIS Act and the Australian Income Tax Act.
  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct audits to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and prepare corresponding reports.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report contraventions of the SIS Act to the ATO and communicate findings to clients.
  • Client Management: Manage client work from compliance to tax planning, providing guidance on SMSF administration and operational matters.
  • Tax Planning and Research: Conduct research on technical issues related to SMSF compliance, taxation, and legislation.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the SIS Act and the Australian Income Tax Act.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Education: Relevant qualifications in accounting or a related field.
