About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Risk Reporting & Analytics department, you will be responsible for executing data governance for corporate risk reporting & analytics. This includes implementing metadata strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective metadata governance in the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation and adherence to data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal data governance framework.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data governance processes, rules, and issue resolutions.
  • Create and update data dictionaries and data lineage documentation for risk reporting data.
  • Continuously assess and enhance data management practices.
  • Support process training of new and existing team members.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve business goals.
  • Partner with managers to coordinate data/insights for team reporting.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of data governance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of metadata concepts, data management principles, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in metadata management tools and technologies (e.g. Collibra, Informatica).
  • Experience in data governance concepts, frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Alteryx.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
  • Ability to take on an elevated level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
  • Ability to lead during times of ambiguity and change.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
