Job Role: ACCA Trainee

The role involves managing financial statements, tax returns and bookkeeping for clients across the UK and international markets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and filing of financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Preparation of working papers, client packs and reporting packs as required.
  • Preparation and filing of corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Client communication via email, phone calls and video conference calls.
  • Preparing tax advice reports considering local and international taxes, accounting standards and legal issues.
  • Overseeing and assisting with payment processing, vendor invoices, individual reimbursements and other accounts payable and receivables.
  • Dealing with tax authorities for successful tax claims and investigations.
  • Performing bookkeeping tasks including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required.
  • Involvement in research and product development for tax and accountancy products.
Requirements:
  • ACCA affiliate or ACCA aspirant pursuing professional level.
  • Priority will be given to candidates with outstanding academic records.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and UK taxation.
  • Fluent English skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software.
  • Interest in taxation and finance functions is desirable.
