Cloud Database Expert Wanted

We are seeking a seasoned expert in SQL Server database administration with a strong focus on cloud migrations and high availability solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in upgrading, migrating, and maintaining mission-critical databases to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.

The following responsibilities come with the role:

  • Lead and execute large-scale SQL Server upgrade projects, including migration from legacy versions to modern platforms.
  • Design, configure, and manage Always On Availability Groups (HA/DR) in production environments to ensure zero downtime.
  • Plan and implement secure database migrations to AWS using RDS, EC2, or other services with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Maintain optimal SQL Server performance through regular monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of queries, indexes, statistics, and execution plans.
  • Implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies to minimize data loss and system downtime.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and efficient operation of database systems.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures, to support database maintenance and issue resolution.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with security standards, policies, and best practices to protect sensitive data and systems.
