Job Title: Marine Technical Director

Oversee technical management and maintenance of vessels ensuring safe efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vessel Performance: Monitor manage maintenance repairs and overall technical performance of assigned vessels.
  • Dry Docking Repairs: Plan supervise coordinate dry-docking major repairs and maintenance schedules within set timelines.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure smooth vessel operations and compliance with international maritime regulations.
  • Crew Support Training: Provide technical guidance support to shipboard staff ensure adequate training on new technologies regulatory requirements.
  • Inspections Audits: Conduct regular vessel inspections audits to ensure technical integrity and compliance with company standards.
  • Incident Investigation: Assist in investigation of technical incidents accidents providing reports recommendations to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering.
  • Chief Engineer (COC Class 1) or equivalent seagoing experience preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in technical management of ships preferably in bulk carriers tankers offshore vessels or container ships.
  • Strong knowledge of ship repair dry docking and maintenance planning.
  • Familiarity with classification societies flag state requirements and international maritime regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving decision-making leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using ship management software MS Office applications.

Preferred Skills Attributes:

  • Experience in managing a fleet of vessels working with multinational crew stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical negotiation skills for budget cost control.
  • Willingness to travel for ship inspections attend dry dockings.
