About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our supply chain optimization efforts at Star Alucast Pvt Ltd in Mumbai, India. As the Supply Chain Optimization Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, ensuring seamless customer experiences, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain performance, ensure efficient material flow from suppliers to manufacturing processes, and minimize excess inventory costs.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and procurement teams to streamline supply chain operations, meet customer demands, and maintain optimal stock levels in warehouses.
  • Utilize data analysis to evaluate supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions that enhance customer service outcomes.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to manage inbound and outbound cargo operations, schedule shipments, and ensure timely receiving and storage of materials.
  • Oversee the preparation and dispatch of outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with delivery schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels, develop forecasting models to predict material needs, and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and enhance supply chain efficiency while reducing costs.
  • Review and approve documentation related to inbound and outbound shipments, ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and maintain accurate tracking and retrieval of supply chain documentation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and internal teams, to address supply chain challenges and ensure timely resolution.
  • Analyze regular reports on supply chain performance metrics, including order fulfillment rates, customer satisfaction levels, and inventory turnover, to inform strategic decisions.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and success, such as ensuring accurate order fulfillment and timely delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging team members to pursue professional development opportunities and stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technology.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • A management degree (MBA or equivalent) from a reputable institution.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a leadership role, with exposure to logistics, procurement, and distribution.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven expertise in supply chain technologies, ERP systems, and document control processes.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, dynamic environments, with a positive and innovative mindset.

Estimated Salary Range: ₹1200000 - ₹1800000 per annum, depending on experience.
