Senior DevOps Strategist

This role is pivotal in shaping and advancing the organization's DevOps culture and capabilities.

• Steers the implementation, integration, and ongoing refinement of DevOps methodologies across all applications.
• Fosters collaboration between development, operations, and quality assurance to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions.

• Defines and executes the DevOps strategy for application development, ensuring alignment with business goals and organizational standards.
• Architects, implements, and optimizes end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for multiple application teams, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure delivery of software releases.
• Leads the automation of manual tasks throughout the application lifecycle, including testing, deployment, infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring.
• Acts as a bridge between development, operations, and QA teams to remove silos, facilitate communication, and promote shared responsibilities.
• Guides the migration and deployment of applications to cloud or hybrid infrastructures, leveraging best practices for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Establishes and enhances application monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability, performance, and rapid incident response.
• Integrates security practices and tools (DevSecOps) into the development pipeline to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Fosters a culture of feedback and iteration by implementing metrics-driven improvements and promoting innovative approaches to DevOps challenges.
• Drives technological innovation by exploring AI-enhanced tools and industry-leading practices to shape and evolve long-term DevOps strategies.

• Designs, implements, and maintains robust CI/CD pipelines to enable high-velocity application delivery.
• Applies experience working on CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub, TeamCity, Octopus, Maven, NuGet, ProGet or similar to create or update build packages and deployment pipeline.
• Develops/update the code build using scripting skills in language like Maven, YAML Classical Editor.
• Champions Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for repeatable and auditable infrastructure management (Code branching, Merging and pull request workflow).
• Drives containerization and orchestration strategies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Service Fabrics) across the application portfolio.
• Develops and enforces automated testing frameworks, including unit, integration, and security testing within pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Continuously evaluates and integrates new tools and technologies to optimize the software delivery lifecycle.
• Ensures applications are monitored and supported with actionable logging, metrics, health checks, and uptime dashboards using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, etc.
• Implements and upholds policies for access control, patching, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance.
• Facilitates post-incident reviews and root cause analysis to drive system and process improvements.
• Documents DevOps architectures, processes, and standards for reuse and knowledge sharing.
• Engages with business leaders, project managers, and technical teams to align DevOps initiatives with organizational priorities.

• Collaborates with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for developing effective IT solutions.
• Works closely with internal teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and promote effective use of technology for problem-solving.
• Leads and inspires the team to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Fosters a culture of continuous improvement in both technical expertise and business acumen.
• Sets clear, realistic goals and performance standards; and organizes performance review sessions with the team on their development plan and career.
• Conducts timely reviews of team deliverables and provides support to enhance performance.
• Leads, mentors, and upskills DevOps engineers and developers on modern tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Manages DevOps team members, sets objectives, and evaluates performance aligned to business outcomes.
