Key Role: Technical Lead for Unix Infrastructure

Job Description:

We seek an experienced expert to oversee the management and administration of our Unix server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Unix systems, deployment strategies, and high availability concepts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage large-scale Unix server environments with a focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Configure business application servers in various settings, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Perform update management tasks, promptly resolving issues that arise.
  • Develop and implement scripts using Shell, Perl, Python, and similar languages to enhance system efficiency.
  • Oversee network requirements for Unix Server Infrastructure, guaranteeing optimal performance.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices in Unix system administration, continuously improving processes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Unix system administration is required.
  • The ideal candidate should hold an engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Proven expertise in Linux administration, including Red Hat Satellite, Capsule, and Template Management, is essential.
  • Experience with VMware platform and scripting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and incident/change management is also necessary.
