Baxter, a pioneering force in developing cutting-edge solutions for patients with kidney disease, is seeking a skilled Sr Eng, Test to join our team. This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to the design, development, and support of our cloud-based software that aligns with our connected medicine strategy. Our software will facilitate the connection of medical devices (IoT) and mobile devices in homes and clinics, enabling the management of medical treatments and the supply chain related to various medical treatments. Furthermore, our analytics component will enable improved clinical outcomes and aid in developing better strategies based on in-depth insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, execute, and automate tests to ensure coverage and quality.
  2. Test complex applications on multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and desktop.
  3. Contribute to the development of testing frameworks and tools.
  4. Develop testing tools and utilities as needed.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine test strategies and effort estimations.
  6. Adhere to project milestones and scope by completing assigned tasks and proactively highlighting dependencies and risks.
  7. Ensure comprehensive test coverage of software changes and scope.
  8. Drive reviews with the quality team and ensure the closure of all comments, gaps, and non-compliances.
  9. Review test artifacts and drive improvements in verification and validation efficiency across workstreams.
  10. Communicate test results and defect reports to stakeholders regularly.
  11. Assist in documenting traceability from requirements to verification records and from requirements to design entities.
  12. Adhere to agile and scrum practices, deliverables, and ceremonies, and utilize JIRA daily.
  13. Provide training and assistance to junior test engineers as needed.
  14. Effectively handle ambiguous and undefined problems and demonstrate the ability to think abstractly.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in software testing, with a minimum of 4 years in test automation.
  2. Proficiency in testing methodologies, processes, tools, and techniques.
  3. Solid programming skills.
  4. Hands-on experience in building test automation using Selenium with Python, Java, or Ruby.
  5. Hands-on experience in API/web services testing and the use of automation frameworks like RESTAssured.
  6. Superior debugging skills to identify causes of test failures and environment issues.
  7. A deep understanding of multiple forms of software testing throughout the entire SDLC.
  8. Good understanding of TDD/BDD methodologies.
  9. Solid knowledge of enterprise software automation frameworks.
  10. Experience in testing cloud-based applications (PaaS/SaaS/IaaS).
  11. Strong database concepts, including queries, joins, and stored procedures.
  12. Excellent knowledge of healthcare processes and best practices.
  13. Strong technical documentation skills.
  14. Familiarity with Git, Maven, Ant, and Linux OS.
  15. Experience working in an agile model and good knowledge of JIRA.
  16. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  17. Able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision.
  18. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Background/Experience: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 6-10 years of related work experience.

Desired Skills:

  1. ISTQB Certification.
  2. Experience in verification for renal care/dialysis products.
  3. Hands-on software application development experience.
  4. Knowledge of medical device software development, including standards such as IEC 62304 and ISO 13485.
