Job Title: System Engineer for Active Parking Assist



Mercedes-Benz Research and Development is seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. As a System Engineer for Active Parking Assist, you will be responsible for the development of advanced parking systems.



Key Responsibilities:


  • System Owner: Ensure the development of end-to-end system/feature following defined product development lifecycle processes.
  • Requirement Elicitation/Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements for the feature, define and manage product requirements in DOORs, and understand functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Define fail-safe product strategies, including interface ECUs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with system suppliers to fulfill functional requirements and present feature-relevant technical solutions to customers.
  • Product Validation: Conduct system and vehicle tests for functional validation of the system.
  • Troubleshooting/RCA: Analyze defects, propose solutions, and participate in task forces to find solutions collaboratively.
  • Regulations Compliant Systems: Ensure that the system/feature complies with relevant regulations.
  • Design/Cost Optimization: Optimize product design and cost.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree: Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, or Computer Science.
  • Experience: 2-5 years in the automotive domain, with knowledge of vehicle systems.
  • Key Skills and Experience: Automotive system engineering, embedded software development, exposure to Autosar, and knowledge of CAN and FLEXRAY/Ethernet protocols.


Preferred Skills:


  • Exposure to Driver Assistance Systems: Preferred.
  • Usage of ADAS Tools: For test data/video analysis.
  • Exposure to ISO Functional Safety Standards: & ASPICE.
  • Knowledge of LIN and MOST Protocols: Preferred.
  • Understanding of Problem Solving Techniques: And RCAs.
  • 8D, FMEA, 5 Why, Fish Bone Analysis: Preferred.
  • Diagnostic Protocol UDS: CANdela Tool Usage.
  • Good Communication Skills: And ability to work in a team.
  • Experience in the Automotive Field: And exposure to a multi-cultural environment.
  • Basic Knowledge of German Language: Preferred.
  • Vehicle Driving Skills: Mandatory.
