Cloud Architect Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design, develop and deploy cloud-based applications using modern programming languages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cloud-based applications using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular, React or Node.js.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement cloud-native applications using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
  • Ensure the security, scalability and reliability of cloud-based systems and applications.
  • Maintain and improve existing cloud infrastructure and applications, and contribute to the design and implementation of new ones.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, deployment plans and operational procedures.
  • Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment, testing and maintenance of cloud-based applications.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation and continuous learning within the team.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in software development with a focus on cloud architecture and full stack development.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript and frameworks like Angular, React or Node.js.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native application design.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs and serverless computing.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Solid understanding of database technologies, both relational (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Master's degree in a related STEM field.
  • Experience in leading technical teams and projects, with strong project management skills.
