Cloud Solutions Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Solutions Architect to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures to support digital transformation and IT modernization of our retail platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with GCP, deep knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and containerization. They will also have proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premise or legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
  • Design multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures to ensure high availability, scalability, and business continuity.
  • Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure robust cloud governance and security compliance.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud costs, performance, and resource utilization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to development and operations teams on cloud best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and evaluate their applicability to business needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP – at least 2 of these at an expert level.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
  • Experience with cloud migration strategies, workload assessments, and re-architecting solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud cost optimization strategies and tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management).
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect) are preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in retail or e-commerce cloud deployments.
  • Exposure to DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and monitoring solutions.
  • Understanding of data architectures, including data lakes and analytics on the cloud.
