BIW Engineering Expert

Mechanical engineers with 6-8 years of experience in passenger car development can apply for this role. Key qualifications include a deep understanding of BIW structure and assembly, including design for manufacturability (DFMA), manufacturing feasibility, and tooling feasibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Concept generation of BIW components using CAD design and develop BIW panels for the automotive industry.
  • Create master sections and interpret results of structural, static, and dynamic simulations for BIW components.
  • Analyze DFMA, manufacturing feasibility, and tooling feasibility of BIW components.
  • Knowledge on materials, FMEA, GD&T, and stack up analysis is essential.
  • Project management skills and experience coordinating with cross-functional teams are required.

This role requires a strong background in UG NX, parametric modeling, surface modeling, and Teamcenter. Experience in creating master sections, interpreting simulation results, and developing BIW panels for the automotive industry is also necessary.
