About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Procurement Professional to manage the procurement of automotive electrical and electronic commodities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor development, localization, and cost management.

  • Manage the procurement of various automotive electrical and electronic commodities such as wiring harnesses, sensors & switches, relays, fuses, connectors, control units/ECUs, lighting systems, instrument clusters, and other electronic sub-systems.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to ensure best cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Drive localisation projects to reduce dependency on imports and improve supply chain resilience.
  • Conduct vendor identification, evaluation, and development for new and existing suppliers.
  • Carry out cost analysis, supplier negotiations, and benchmarking to achieve cost reduction targets.
  • Collaborate with R&D, design, and quality teams for supplier alignment with technical requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance for QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) parameters and initiate improvements.
  • Track market trends, raw material cost fluctuations, and new technologies in automotive electronics.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic commodity procurement is essential.
  • Required skills include:
  • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor development, localisation, and cost management.
  • Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and supplier management skills.
  • Exposure to APQP, PPAP, and supplier quality processes in the automotive industry.
  • ERP knowledge (SAP/Oracle or equivalent) and MS Office proficiency.
