
Senior Audit and Compliance Specialist

The position is responsible for managing client security questionnaires, coordinating audits, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
This role involves establishing and maintaining a repository of standardized security questionnaire responses, managing timely and accurate responses to client security questionnaires, and collaborating with internal teams (IT, Legal, InfoSec) to gather documentation for client inquiries. The primary point of contact for clients regarding security-related inquiries will also be the responsibility of the Client Security and Compliance Manager.
Audit coordination and management are critical components of this role. This includes leading and coordinating client and internal audits for compliance assessment, serving as liaison between organization and external auditors/clients, preparing comprehensive evidence packages for security audits, collaborating with teams to design mitigation strategies for identified risks, and working with control owners to create and implement corrective action plans.
Contract and insurance management also fall under the purview of this position. This includes creating security terms and conditions for contract inclusion, reviewing MSA security terms and providing feedback to legal team, and responding to cyber insurance questionnaires based on implemented controls and certifications.
Process improvement and stakeholder engagement are key aspects of this role. Opportunities to improve efficiency of questionnaire responses and audit processes will be identified, templates and workflows will be developed to streamline client questionnaire completion, and effective communication will be maintained with clients and third-party auditors regarding organizational security posture. Recommendations to management for security practice improvements will also be provided.
- Required Experience: 10+ years of experience in information security with audit management focus
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Preferred Certifications: CISA, CRISC, CISM, or CISSP certification
- Core Competencies:
- Proven experience responding to security questionnaires and managing client audits
- Experience managing third-party audits and internal audit processes
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple audits and client requests simultaneously
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated learner with strong organizational abilities
