Treasury Specialist

The Treasury Specialist role involves managing the company's financial operations, ensuring optimal liquidity and efficient cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cash Flow Optimization: Analyze and manage daily cash flow to meet operational and strategic needs.
  • Settlements and Reconciliations: Reconcile marketplace settlements and resolve discrepancies, payment holds, or delays in a timely manner.
  • Seller Account Management: Oversee seller account settlements, refunds, charges, and deductions across various e-commerce platforms.
  • Banking Liaisons: Collaborate with banks and non-bank financial companies for working capital limits, term loans, and other treasury-related facilities.
  • Fund Transfers: Manage fund transfers between internal accounts to ensure timely payments to vendors, service providers, and statutory bodies.
  • Accounting Coordination: Coordinate with the accounting team for accurate booking and reporting of treasury transactions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain reports for treasury forecasts, cash positions, and fund utilization.
  • Compliance and Process Improvement: Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to treasury, and identify opportunities to strengthen treasury efficiency and automation.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field (MBA is preferred).
  • Experience: 3-6 years of experience in treasury operations, preferably in an e-commerce or retail company.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of marketplace payment cycles and seller management; proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools; excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Desirable Skills: Experience working with ERP systems; prior experience in dealing with e-commerce marketplace finance teams; familiarity with payment gateways and digital wallets.
