Senior Development Engineer Job Description

The Senior Development Engineer plays a pivotal role in our development team, requiring expertise in Python and React to drive complex projects. This position involves coding, debugging, and mentoring junior members.

This critical role demands the ability to work independently after review, applying judgment to execute tasks effectively. The ideal candidate should be familiar with AI tools and incorporate them into daily work, guiding and mentoring junior members to help them scale up faster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create high-level and low-level designs for functional requirements as marketable features or Use Cases.
  • Mentor junior members in technical skills, methodology, and product knowledge.
  • Demonstrate expertise in primary product technology.
  • Foster best coding practices.
  • Assist colleagues with design reviews, code reviews, implementation, and existing implementations.
  • Excel in one or more product modules.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 2 years' experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Operating Systems, Algorithms, Data Structures, Object-Oriented Programming, and Databases.
  • Good experience working on n-tier desktop or client-side web applications using Web and UI frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of web server technologies and non-functional requirements like Scalability, Performance, and Security.
  • Ability to utilize AI and mentor junior members on AI best practices.
