Senior Test Manager Role Overview

The role of Senior Test Manager is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions by managing testing teams, defining test strategies, and overseeing execution.

This position requires a strong understanding of banking operations and modules, such as Core Banking, Payments, Loans, Trade Finance, and General Ledger. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test strategy design, effort estimation, resource planning, and test execution.

  • Leading large-scale testing programs in Oracle FLEXCUBE (FCUBS versions 11.x – 14.x) with proven expertise in test strategy design, effort estimation, resource planning, and test execution.
  • Ensuring effective defect management, root cause analysis, and closure within agreed timelines while providing test progress reporting, highlighting risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Maintaining strong coordination with Oracle, vendors, and internal technology teams for test-related activities.

In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will possess excellent leadership, organizational, and team management skills with proven ability to deliver within tight deadlines. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills are also essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate/Postgraduate with 12+ years of experience in IT Testing, including at least 6–8 years in core banking testing projects.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale testing programs in Oracle FLEXCUBE (FCUBS versions 11.x – 14.x).
  • Hands-on experience in automation tools (Selenium, Postman, JMeter, or similar) for functional and performance testing.
  • Strong knowledge of digital core transformation projects and expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, APIs, REST APIs, microservices, and batch processing.
