Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Taxation Professional to join our EMEA team. As a key member of our tax accounting and compliance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our taxation deliverables align with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

\
  • \
  • Manage month-end tax accounting and reporting for the EMEA region.\
  • Collaborate closely with local entity controllers (LECs) to prepare statutory notes for EMEA entities.\
  • Prepare income tax calculations and corporate tax returns for Macquarie Group entities.\
  • Provide effective tax rate (ETR) reconciliation as required by stakeholders.\
  • Ensure timely tax payments and conduct tax-related balance sheet reconciliations.\
  • Take full ownership and responsibility for delivering tasks on time and with high quality.\
  • Flexibility in managing workloads is crucial for the smooth transition of new processes and for mitigating risks associated with rapid change and growth.\
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.\
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.\
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact the business.\\[/ul]\

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • \
  • A professional accountancy qualification (CA or master's degree) with a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience at Executive level and 5 to 7 years for AM level.\
  • Prior experience in tax accounting and compliance is essential.\
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\
  • Able to work flexibly or in shifts on EMEA direct corporate tax.\
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.\
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.\
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.\\[/ul]\
