Job Opportunity: Value Chain Specialist

Location: Remote with field travel

Project Overview:

The successful candidate will lead research and analysis of existing and potential value chains in two program sites. This role involves designing methodologies, conducting stakeholder consultations, and generating evidence-based insights to inform promotion strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the approach for value chain scoping and analysis with a sustainability lens.
  • Identify essential stakeholder groups and develop robust field survey instruments.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and field surveys.
  • Lead technical discussions on prioritisation and analysis of value chains.
  • Draft and deliver high-quality technical reports, including value chain maps and sustainability analysis.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Business Administration, or related field.
  • English & Hindi proficiency.
  • 8 years of professional experience in sustainability, natural resources management and/or nature-based businesses; 5 years of experience in value chain analysis and promotion activities; at least 4 years of the total experience in projects in India.

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced skills in value chain analysis, including sustainability dimensions.
  • Field survey design, stakeholder engagement, and interview facilitation.
  • Report writing and technical presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior staff and enumerators.
