System Operations Specialist

Job Description:

The primary objective of this Technical Support Analyst role is to ensure the smooth operation of systems, applications, and databases across multiple platforms.

This includes providing level 2 and 3 support for applications and systems running on Tandem, Linux, and Windows platforms, as well as monitoring and troubleshooting issues across various database environments.

Additionally, the successful candidate will perform routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades for supported systems, collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and implement fixes, and maintain system health dashboards and automate routine checks where possible.

Required Skills Experience:

Strong experience with Tandem HP NonStop systems is essential for this role.

Proficiency in Linux and Windows server environments, as well as a solid understanding of SQL and experience with Sybase, Oracle, and other relational databases are also required.

Experience in production support, incident management, and performance tuning, along with familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow and Jira, are highly desirable.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in financial services or mission-critical environments is preferred, as is knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell for automation.

Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS and Azure is also a plus.
