Principal Assembly Process Specialist

As a senior process engineer, you will be responsible for leading process excellence in assembly operations. This involves optimizing yields and ensuring smooth ramp-up of new technologies.

The ideal candidate will have experience in semiconductor packaging, including die attach, wire bonding, molding, wafer bumping, singulation, underfill, encapsulation, and more. They will also be skilled in monitoring key process parameters, identifying bottlenecks, and driving yield improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and efficiency
  • Maintaining close relationships with equipment engineers to ensure tool qualification, calibration, and process stability
  • Conducting failure analysis and root cause investigation to drive corrective action implementation
  • Ensuring adherence to industry standards, such as JEDEC, ISO, and IATF, in cleanroom operations
  • Collaborating with global customers and cross-functional teams to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets

The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical, electronics, electrical, materials, or related engineering field
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in semiconductor assembly/test, ATMP, or OSAT environment
  • Strong hands-on expertise in at least one core process area
  • Proven track record in yield improvement and process stabilization
  • Familiarity with SPC, DOE, FMEA, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment
